The South Jersey Corvette Club, Inc. traces its roots back to the early 1970s when 10 of the founding members became friends and also became active in the Corvette hobby. The first meeting was held on May 4, 1990 with 20 charter members.
The club has a membership of people with a wide variety of interests. We sponsor activities including dinners at the Jersey Shore, club trips to Carlisle, a club Christmas dinner every year that is held in locations such as Peddler's Village in Pennsylvania and the Renault Winery in southern New Jersey. Every summer, we hold "garage tours" where we have a meeting each month at different member's home.
Many of the club members also belong to national Corvette organizations such as the NCRS (National Corvette Restorers Society) and NCCC (National Council of Corvette Clubs). Member cars range in age from 1958 through 1999, and vary from normal every day drivers to trailered show cars. SJCC members are active in many of the local shows and cruise events.
The club meets in the first and third Tuesday of every month at 7:30PM at Rexy's Italian Restaurant, 700 Black Horse Pike, West Collingswood Heights, NJ. The phone number for the restaurant is (856) 456-7911. If there are any questions, please contact Dan Soldano at (856) 468-1005. The club address is P.O. Box 301, Mantua, NJ 08051, and the e-mail address is soldd@aol.com.
